These last few years have gone by quickly , with many of our projects and farm progress put on hold. We're renting and don't have the room or means to do a whole lot of farming right now. We're just sort of floating along, working, getting by and doing the best we can since the economy collapsed. I'm working on reducing my goat herd right now. I have this set of 5 that will be freshened and evaluated and then I have another set of 7 that I need to freshen and evaluate as well. I'm thinking I should just get more interns (or paid interns) and just do it and get it over with rather than waiting and feeding everyone in the meantime. Feeding 30 goats is expensive and is a lot of upkeep.
I need to do my "pre-birthing pregnant goat health care packages" this weekend. That includes Bose, Copper, Minerals, Cocci, CDT & Pneumonia vaccines, and hooves. After that they will be set for birthing!
Thank you to everyone who has followed us over the years, we may be down, but not out! I'm not sure what the future holds, but it can only go up from here!
