Nubian Goats ~ Tourmaline
Here at White Mountains Ranch we love our goats and keep a small herd of purebred pedigreed Nubians for our own milking and dairy needs, as well as selling extra babies for others who would like their own milking goats. We breed for temperament, conformation and milking ability. Our Nubians are kept on a diet of alfalfa, organic dairy goat grain, organic black oil sunflower seeds, organic flaxseed, kelp, and goat minerals. Additionally, our entire herd is tested for CAE, CL, and Johne's Disease each year. We have a 100% clean herd.
Tourmaline's mother Sedona is the result of our favorite cross Ghiselle x Mark. Tourmaline is our first retained grand-daughter from this cross, and third doeling retained from our buck Mongo. Everyone said I should sell Tourmaline, that she's rather "plain looking" but I have a feeling that she is going to be like her grandmother- the "ugly ducking" and won't really bloom until around three to four years of age, and then- spectacular! Tourmaline is smooth, dairy, and has a very nice topline. She is also recently freshened, and has the most beautiful udder! We are very happy with Tourmaline so far.
