Nubian Goats ~ Tahana
Here at White Mountains Ranch we love our goats and keep a small herd of purebred pedigreed Nubians for our own milking and dairy needs, as well as selling extra babies for others who would like their own milking goats. We breed for temperament, conformation and milking ability. Our Nubians are kept on a diet of alfalfa, organic dairy goat grain, organic black oil sunflower seeds, organic flaxseed, kelp, and goat minerals. Additionally, our entire herd is tested for CAE, CL, and Johne's Disease each year. We have a 100% clean herd.
Tahana is Pele's sister and is our second favorite doeling this year from our experimental out-crossing program through the buck WAR CRY'S CH KAILUA KONA. Tahana is a beautiful, calm, old style goat with lots of bone and substance. She looks more like her dam than her sire, but we feel she is a good blend between the two lines. We appreciate Tahana for her breed character, length and depth of body, substance and bone, correct feet and legs, lovely front end assembly, level topline, and sweet demeanor. We can't wait to see her freshen next year.
