Nubian Goats ~ Sedona
Here at White Mountains Ranch we love our goats and keep a small herd of purebred pedigreed Nubians for our own milking and dairy needs, as well as selling extra babies for others who would like their own milking goats. We breed for temperament, conformation and milking ability. Our Nubians are kept on a diet of alfalfa, organic dairy goat grain, organic black oil sunflower seeds, organic flaxseed, kelp, and goat minerals. Additionally, our entire herd is tested for CAE, CL, and Johne's Disease each year. We have a 100% clean herd.
Sedona scored ++++ 83 this year during linear appraisal, and is very easy on the eyes. Much improved over her full sister, this girl is very dairy, smoothly blended, has a strong front end, and is not lacking in length! She is deep through the barrel and has tight elbows. She has a level top line and good straight legs. She has a compact udder with good attachments and great hand-milking teats. Sedona is also one of our very easiest hand milking does- the milk just pours out of her, and she gives an easy gallon a day! Her daughters are beautiful, smoothly blended, level, and we can't wait to see them freshen!
