Here at White Mountains Ranch we love our goats and keep a small herd of purebred pedigreed Nubians for our own milking and dairy needs, as well as selling extra babies for others who would like their own milking goats. We breed for temperament, conformation and milking ability. Our Nubians are kept on a diet of alfalfa, organic dairy goat grain, organic black oil sunflower seeds, organic flaxseed, kelp, and goat minerals. Additionally, our entire herd is tested for CAE, CL, and Johne's Disease each year. We have a 100% clean herd.
Minyette is one of our very first foundation does. Minyette is a wonderfully large doe that has a very capacious mammary system, and gives us the most milk on the farm, at a gallon and a half a day. She is a big bodied doe with amazing body capacity and strength throughout, and her general appearance is correct. She has strong pasterns, and correct set to her rear legs, plus great feet, a level topline and a nice level rump. Minyette frequently weighs close around 250 pounds while pregnant, and as an AMAZING bonus has given us quads, (4) babies, the last three years in a row! Minyette is also our oldest and our herd matriarch; she will be with us indefinitely. We will probably only breed her one or two more years and then retire her, and we are looking forward to her future daughters.
