Here at White Mountains Ranch we love our goats and keep a small herd of purebred pedigreed Nubians for our own milking and dairy needs, as well as selling extra babies for others who would like their own milking goats. We breed for temperament, milking ability, and conformation. Our Nubians are kept on a diet of alfalfa, organic dairy goat grain, organic black oil sunflower seeds, organic flaxseed, kelp, and goat minerals. Additionally, our entire herd is tested for CAE, CL, and Johne's Disease each year. We have a 100% clean herd.
Mark was our very first buck. I had been eyeing him, even as a baby, and when I was offered to buy him, I jumped on it! Mark is a big boy, weight taped during the "off-rut" season at 265 pounds; he is a huge gentleman of a giant. Mark is the sire of many does in our herd and we've line bred back on him several times, with great results. We love the conformation of his beautiful daughters, and so we are continually utilizing Mark and retaining his daughters. Mark is to be commended for his size, gentle demeanor, strength and depth, correct front end, and level topline. We also appreciate the strong breed character about his head and ears. Mark has been an integral part of developing our herd.
